Collection: Bolo Ties

Boneyard Alaska Woolly Mammoth Ivory Bolo Ties. Hand crafted one-of-a-kind Bolo Ties made with Woolly Mammoth Fossil Ivory found and recovered on-site at the Boneyard Alaska.

Bolo Ties are a distinctive Western necktie made with a "bola" Spanish for lasso leather typically decorated with a stone and silver tips. I use Kingman Turquoise on some Bolos and others I make Cabochon stones and the tips out of ivory also for a highly unique and one-of-a-kind piece. My husband is an Oregon Buckaroo and my bolo ties are my tribute to the Old West and the cowboy heritage and lifestyle. I honor it while I am making it.

Originating in the early 1900's in the American Southwest, the Native American and Cowboy communities made them popular fashion accessories and a symbol of Western style to this day. Men, women and children can all wear Bolo ties to complement their clothing and style.

As always, each one is handcrafted. I utilize the best fit and characteristics that I can create for the piece of raw ivory that I begin with. I hope you are able to wear it and enjoy to pass it along to your family for generations to come.
