Woolly Mammoth Boneyard Alaska fossil ivory bolo slide. Full of color and character. Hand crafted and carefully shaped to replicate a hunter's tool, something that another human might have made to use out of a broken piece of mammoth tusk thousands of years ago. This piece is full of Vivianite and colorful biomass mineralization and must have spent tens of thousands of years buried in Permafrost getting such deep, multicolored staining. No two pieces of bark ivory ever look alike, and this one is particularly alive with color.
Paired with traditional southwestern-style 2.25" sterling silver tips, hat tip to the American Cowboys, and a black braided leather cord, the finished piece carries both the weight of deep time and the clean lines of a well-made western style accessory. One of a kind.
Fossil ivory sourced by The Boneyard Alaska — discovered and gathered from ancient permafrost deposits in Alaska. All materials are from extinct Ice Age animals. No modern animals are harmed.

Enjoy it! Keep dry as ivory doesn't like being wet. Use a clean dry polishing cloth to buff. Treat ivory jewelry like a fine gem or fossil. No soaps or detergents. If you have any other care questions let me know. Thank you, Kristin
