Ancient Flight — Woolly Mammoth Ivory Feather Pendant

"Ancient Flight" is hand carved from authentic fossil mammoth ivory — a piece of Woolly Mammoth tusk sourced at The Boneyard Alaska from ancient Alaskan permafrost deposits from the Pleistocene Epoch. The ivory itself is thousands of years old, and the natural mineralization brings out a warm palette of creams, browns, and amber that no modern material can replicate.

I carved the feather design deep into both faces of the mammoth tusk bark ivory, letting the natural and distinctive color variations and surface character guide the detail work. Because both sides are fully carved, this pendant is reversible — each face carries its own distinct coloring, so you can flip it to match your mood or your outfit. Turquoise spacers and a Leopard Skin Jasper accent bead complete the piece with an ancient feel.
