When I held this fragment of tusk bark with the beautiful mineralization I knew what I wanted to make earrings and a pendant to match. The outer bark of the tusk was alive with lines in dark brown mineralization — rich browns, and warm tans layered across the surface in patterns that took thousands of years to form. And I wanted to preserve it and enhance it as best I could.
Experience wearing and touching woolly mammoth ivory that is at minimum 10k years to 40k years old. I call it Mammoth Magic. I feel it when I am making things. No two pieces ever tell the same story in every way to any human. It is a very personal experience from what I have witnessed of others and experienced myself.
The fossil ivory I use is exclusively sourced from The Boneyard Alaska. Discovered and recovered from ancient permafrost deposits and a modern age mystery as to why so many species of Megafauna remains were buried there tens of thousands of years ago. No modern animals are harmed — this is ethically sourced material.

Enjoy it! Keep dry as ivory doesn't like being wet. Use a clean dry polishing cloth to buff. Treat ivory jewelry like a fine gem or fossil. No soaps or detergents. If you have any other care questions let me know. Thank you, Kristin
