Woolly Mammoth fossil ivory dangle earrings — genuine prehistoric material, hand cut and polished by Kristin at Ice Age Treasures from a single recovered fragment sourced by The Boneyard Alaska.
The natural mineralization from tens of thousands of years in Alaskan permafrost has done something extraordinary: rich deep dark browns to black (carbon stain from the extinction event?), warm tans, greens, and classic ivory tones in a way no modern material can replicate. Every shift of light catches something new. Hand sanded and polished to a high shine — maintaining the natural mammoth tusk patina from the outer layer of bark.
The drops hang from sterling silver post clasps, giving them a clean, secure fit with just enough movement to catch the eye. At 2" drop, they're substantial without being heavy — the kind of earrings you reach for when you want to say something without saying a word.
Sourced by The Boneyard Alaska from ancient Alaskan permafrost deposits — fossil ivory from extinct Ice Age animals. No modern animals are harmed.

Enjoy it! Keep dry as ivory doesn't like being wet. Use a clean dry polishing cloth to buff. Treat ivory jewelry like a fine gem or fossil. No soaps or detergents. If you have any other care questions let me know. Thank you, Kristin
