This beautiful large cabachon is from the solid core of a Mammoth tusk. Premium core ivory is naturally harder to acquire than "bark" ivory which is the outer layer of tusks and is often found in pieces we call "shards" at the Boneyard Alaska. Mammoth bark can offer beautiful colors from being exposed to oxygen which gives Vivianite blues, browns and greens from mineralization. Core Mammoth Ivory like this cabochon is as classic and timeless as Ivory gets.
Full of beautiful Woolly Mammoth ivory luster and depth. Hand cut, shaped Cabochon, a highly polished but not faceted gem stone. A rare stone and focal for any custom jewelry creation or personal fossil and gemstone collection. Proudly made with materials discovered and recovered at the historic Boneyard Alaska.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
Treat like fine jewelry, enjoy and polish with soft polishing cloth. Keep out of water.
Enjoy it! Keep dry as ivory doesn't like being wet. Use a clean dry polishing cloth to buff. Treat ivory jewelry like a fine gem or fossil. No soaps or detergents. If you have any other care questions let me know. Thank you, Kristin
