Bark ivory is the outermost layer of the woolly mammoth tusk — the part that faced the world. It's denser, more textured, and carries the deepest mineral color of any part of the tusk. Thousands of years in Alaskan permafrost have worked blues, greens, warm caramel, and rich brown into the surface in ways that can't be replicated. I hand carved this fossil ivory into an arrowhead form — a shape that felt right for material this ancient and grounded. Length 2.25"
Set with a gold plate wire bale, ready to wear.
This fossil ivory was gathered by The Boneyard Alaska, a private collection in the Goldstream Valley run by the Reeves family — the people who know this land and its Ice Age secrets better than anyone.
No modern animals are harmed. Ethically sourced from private Alaskan land.

Enjoy it! Keep dry as ivory doesn't like being wet. Use a clean dry polishing cloth to buff. Treat ivory jewelry like a fine gem or fossil. No soaps or detergents. If you have any other care questions let me know. Thank you, Kristin
