This hand-carved scrimshaw feather pendant is crafted from a broken fragment of Woolly Mammoth tusk fossil ivory sourced by The Boneyard Alaska from ancient permafrost deposits. I carved the feather form by hand, then etched and inked it with rich, layered pigmentation — each line cut with a scrimshander's tool, each color built up by hand to bring the piece fully to life. Set with a sterling silver bale. Total length: 3½".
Materials: Woolly Mammoth Fossil Ivory, Sterling Silver
Source: The Boneyard Alaska — sourced and gathered by the Reeves family
Age: 10,000–40,000+ years (based on carbon dating of materials from the same deposit)
Fossil ivory from extinct Ice Age animals — no modern animals harmed.
A one-of-a-kind pendant — 40,000 years of history, finished by hand and ready to wear.

Enjoy it! Keep dry as ivory doesn't like being wet. Use a clean dry polishing cloth to buff. Treat ivory jewelry like a fine gem or fossil. No soaps or detergents. If you have any other care questions let me know. Thank you, Kristin
