Woolly Mammoth fossil ivory angel wing pendant — hand carved, needle-etched, and stained by Kristin at Ice Age Treasures from ancient material sourced by The Boneyard Alaska.

A single angel wing, intentionally so. There is something quietly powerful about one wing — it doesn’t need its pair to be whole. The scrimshaw-style detailing was drawn with a fine needle and stained in purples, pinks, and greens, the way the old scrimshanders worked with carbon and pigment — set against the natural light brown sugar tones of the natural “bark” ivory itself. A cool sterling silver leaf accent finishes the piece, adding just the right contrast between ancient material and modern sterling silver metalwork.

The fossil ivory comes from tens of thousands of years in Alaskan permafrost. When you hold it, there’s a warmth and solidity to it that feels different from anything modern — quiet, grounded, real. That’s the material speaking.

Sourced by The Boneyard Alaska from ancient Alaskan permafrost deposits — fossil ivory from extinct Ice Age animals. No modern animals are harmed.
