Before the pyramids. Before written language. Before almost everything we call civilization — this ivory existed. Sourced by Boneyard Alaska from ancient permafrost deposits, this hand-carved arrowhead pendant is shaped from genuine Woolly Mammoth fossil ivory, a material that hasn't walked the earth in over 40,000 years.
Not every piece of a recovered tusk can be saved. I work with the sherds — the broken fragments that can't be matched or repaired — and find the form hiding inside each one. This arrowhead emerged from one of those fragments: carved by hand, fitted with a silver bale, and finished to honor the grain and warmth the ivory has carried across millennia.
No two pieces are alike. The natural patterning, color variation, and character of fossil ivory means this arrowhead is genuinely one of a kind — not as a marketing phrase, but as a geological fact.
Wear it as a daily reminder of deep time, or pass it on as an heirloom that already has 40,000 years of history behind it.

Enjoy it! Keep dry as ivory doesn't like being wet. Use a clean dry polishing cloth to buff. Treat ivory jewelry like a fine gem or fossil. No soaps or detergents. If you have any other care questions let me know. Thank you, Kristin
