Boneyard Alaska Woolly Mammoth Ivory Megalodon inspired sharks tooth made by Kristin Reeves Park. All hand cut sanded and finished to the best of my ability. I worked to keep the black carbonization.  You can still see the small crystallizations and the beautiful pattern of the line artifacts in the tusk bark that occurred during the fire and heat from the extinction event nearly 40 thousand years ago during Pleistocene epoch. This is a rare creation and truly a one-of-a-kind collectible.

If I had not been steadfast and careful in creating it, all of the carbon would be gone  and destroyed and the visible lines would be gone as well. Each cusp, the points on a shark's teeth, are carefully cut in and realistic to the eye and touch. Holding it your hand will bring your mind to another place, a feeling of what I call "Mammoth Magic" is what I describe as the feeling.

This piece of ivory was buried under about 65 feet of overburden in the carbon bone zone deep in the frozen Permafrost at the Boneyard Alaska. The carbon bone zone is completely black but the tusk piece was frozen in the muck for tens of 1000's of years, commonly called fossil ivory in the trade and is completely stable.

This is an ultra rare and unique piece and ready for a discerning collector. High character and mineralization offering beautiful colors and natural tusk bark maintained at the notches and shoulders of the tooth where is shows the black carbon crystals.
