Made from hand-carved Woolly Mammoth ivory, in the shape of an artistic fish hook, the Hei Matau embodies strength, prosperity, fertility, good luck, and safe travel over water. It's a great gift for others or for yourself. The stylized hook originates from the Maori legend of Maui, who caught a huge fish using a jawbone hook that he had crafted from his late grandmother.
