This Christian Cross pendant is carved from genuine Woolly Mammoth Pleistocene era ivory, sourced from the Boneyard Alaska. The material dates back 12,000 to 50,000 years, preserved in the Alaskan permafrost since the last Ice Age. Each piece is hand-carved, sanded, and polished to reveal the ivory's natural character—unique mineralization patterns that formed over millennia. The highly hand polished finish highlights the mineralization stains from the mud and muck it was frozen it. This particular cross even shows the shadows of the mammoth tusk rings arching across it. Variations like this make every piece special and a truly unique one of a kind collectible I hope you can pass on for generations.

Enjoy it! Keep dry as ivory doesn't like being wet. Use a clean dry polishing cloth to buff. Treat ivory jewelry like a fine gem or fossil. No soaps or detergents. If you have any other care questions let me know. Thank you, Kristin
