"Grown, Not Made" - Shaped slowly by hand and guided by the material itself, this is a reversible pendant carved from genuine Ice Age woolly mammoth ivory from a small broken piece of an ancient mammoth tusk from The Boneyard Alaska.
The finished form suggests a tooth, a talisman, or a worry stone—without becoming any one thing. Designed to be worn facing either direction, I think it honors balance, ambiguity, and personal meaning. This piece was not forced into shape. It was allowed to emerge. Overall length: 2.25"
"I never know exactly what any piece of ivory will be made into. I call this "Mammoth Magic". It creates itself. I feel like I am just a small part of its path and hoping there's one other human on earth that will like what became of its thawing and being part of the modern world." krp
I use small pieces of broken mammoth tusks we find in the bone layers at The Boneyard Alaska. A perfect addition to your jewelry collection or for anyone who appreciates history and the Ice Age mammals that are now extinct.
Grown, Not Made. Shaped by time. Finished by hand. Ethically sourced from The Boneyard Alaska.

Enjoy it! Keep dry as ivory doesn't like being wet. Use a clean dry polishing cloth to buff. Treat ivory jewelry like a fine gem or fossil. No soaps or detergents. If you have any other care questions let me know. Thank you, Kristin
