Arrowhead made with Woolly Mammoth Ivory from the Boneyard Alaska. All bark ivory is uniquely mineralized as it is the outer layer of the mammoth tusk. I work hard in order to not remove colorization or artifacts on a beautifully colored sherd (a broken piece of woolly mammoth ivory tusk). This one has a nice brown sugar and dark chocolate blend of colors. Permafrost minerals and Vivianite will stain the bark layers and deeper cracks of mammoth tusk sherds adding character, visible artifacts and a variety of colors.
As always made with gratitude for the Megafauna that lived and died in the Goldstream Valley, Alaska and discovered by John and Ramona Reeves, Owners of Fairbanks Gold Company and what is now the "Boneyard Alaska", the largest private Megafauna bone and tusk collection in the USA and among the top 5 collections in the world today. Other large collections are state owned by countries like Russia and China.

Care Instructions
Enjoy it! Keep dry as ivory doesn't like being wet. Use a clean dry polishing cloth to buff. Treat ivory jewelry like a fine gem or fossil. No soaps or detergents. If you have any other care questions let me know. Thank you, Kristin
