Carved Arrowhead Pendant made with Woolly Mammoth tusk bark (the outer layer of the tusk) Ivory discovered at the Boneyard in Alaska. Beautiful caramel and darker brown colors from the permafrost mineralization. One-of-a-kind.
As always made exclusively with materials discovered at the Boneyard Alaska with gratitude for the Megafauna that lived and died in the Goldstream Valley and my brother John Reeves for never giving up and always looking around for what he can discover.
The Boneyard was discovered 40,000 years after the Ice Age by John and Ramona Reeves. The Boneyard Alaska collection has peaked scientific curiosity since we find the remains of animals that were never supposed to be up that far north. The Boneyard is the largest private Megafauna bone and tusk collection in the USA and among the top 5 collections in the world today. Other large collections are owned by nation states.

Enjoy it! Treat like a fine gemstone and fossil. Wooly Mammoth Ivory is porous and will naturally absorb your body oils which is a benefit as it is nourishing and enriches colors in ivory and creates a special unity. Handling and rubbing your ivory is also calming and meditative and inspiring. Avoid water and soaps and handle with care.
