Hand cut and polished earrings handcrafted with Woolly Mammoth tusk Ivory discovered at the Boneyard in Alaska. The unique "Jet" Bead and Niobium drops are anti-allergenic. Jet, is a gemstone formed from fossilized wood over millions of years, shares similar properties with coal, giving it a stunning deep black luster and offsets the beautiful tusk ivory well. Lots of character and colorful mineralization from the permafrost well maintained.
Measuring approximately 1.5 inches in length, these earrings are a tribute to the Megafauna that once roamed and perished in the Goldstream Valley, Alaska. Discovered 40,000 years later by my brother and sister-in-law, John and Ramona Reeves, owners of Fairbanks Gold Company, and now part of the "Boneyard Alaska", the largest private Megafauna bone and tusk collection in the USA and one of the top 5 collections in the world today. Other expansive collections of this kind are typically owned by countries and states.

Enjoy it! Keep dry as ivory doesn't like being wet. Use a clean dry polishing cloth to buff. Treat ivory jewelry like a fine gem or fossil. No soaps or detergents. If you have any other care questions let me know. Thank you, Kristin
