Each Cabochon I make shows the beautiful colors of Boneyard Alaska ivory and you will never see another one just like it. I have worked with ivory for many years and I am always amazed at the differences in color and characteristics in each small piece of material I cut from the same broken piece of mammoth tusk.

I try to keep the staining from Viviante and mineralization as much as possible. Some times scenes are revealed. This one has a cool scene I think and I thought a pop of sparkle would enhance it. A perfect addition to your jewelry collection or for anyone who appreciates history, fossils and the Ice Age mammals that are now extinct.
